Getting started with Custom URLs
In some applications such as google+ ,we can see our profile page as link where we can enter the URL as a link for our site. Google already provides facility to create custom page but once you create business page on Google Plus Google automatically generates unique ID and that is not alterable so you can not make it custom URL as per your choice.
Claiming your custom URL through Google+
Under the G plus URL, you can find the About tab on your profile, click on the Claim link. And then, by clicking the radio button you can select one among many URL options. You have to agree the terms of service and then click the Claim URL button to request the URL. Once your request is accepted, you will be directed to your G+ page and you may not allowed to change it. If you want you can use the Claim+ URL name button.

Requesting a custom Google+ URL
You may request different URLs that may be pre-approved once. Just use the following commands
- Next to the Claim URL button you can find the Request a different custom URL link and then click the Not now button.
- In the Requested URL field, you can enter the URL which you like to have and then click the Requested URL button.
- Once your request is approved ,you may not produce a request to change it.
Knowing the status of your requested custom URL
If the request is approved ,
You will receive a approval mail from google. Clicking on the Claim URL button in the mail you can complete the claiming process.Also you will receive a notification on Google+ page or profile regarding approval of request. Clicking on the notification you can complete the Claiming process.
If the request is not approved,
You will receive a mail about the non approval of request. But still you can use the URL that is initially claimed to you. Then to complete claiming process click the Claim URL button.
CHECKING STATUS FROM YOUR PROFILE:
You can check on the status of your request from your profile by navigating your profile. When you click the About tab you can view your status .
If your request is in
–pending, a message stating “Under review” will be displayed next to your requested Google+URL.
–approved, your Google+ URL will be listed as a working link.
–no Google+ URL listed, your request has been declined.
