Microsoft have launched the free Windows 8.1 and Windows RT 8.1 updates four days before. The Windows 8.1 Pro update has some changes over Windows 8 like showing the Home or Start button, allowing a single and uniform wallpaper background to both the desktop and the start screen and also allows readjusting the sizes of the app tiles on the start screen. If you have installed your Windows 8.1 Preview on top of PC running Windows 8, then you can easily update from your home screen through the Windows Store app.

On October 19th, Microsoft announced that it had pulled the Windows RT 8.1 update from the Window Store . This is because of some users reports that they are getting machine-bricking boot errors. Because of this error users’ device is getting a blue screen and a message telling them that their Boot Configuration File is missing some required information. This error is the major problem in Windows RT 8.1 update. So Microsoft apologize for this error and assure that they will resolve this error as soon as possible.
